Christianity Explored I wanted to get to know the Queen. So I stood outside her house, Buckingham Palace, with a large sign that read, “Hello your Majesty. Would you like to go out for a drink?” I didn’t get a response. I went to all her official visits with flowers, I even managed to give her some, but I couldn’t get into conversation. I wrote her letters, even tried phoning her up a couple of times. Eventually I got arrested for stalking her! OK, so this isn’t true, but the point I hope is clear. If I am going to get to know the queen she needs to approach me. I do not have the right or the ability to get to know her on my terms, I can only do it on her terms.
